Knitting, Kaffe, and old patterns
I knit. I knit less these days, but when I do it is gloriously satisfying. I learned as a child the intricacies of plain, purl and pass the slip stitch over. My stash of wool is more than I could ever knit up. It is a kind of unformulated security blanket that sits in a large plastic box. I have metal and bamboo pins along with a prized set of Knit Pro interchangeable needles. Algarve Tricot/Knitters Group Meeting Saturday 16 March 3pm
Knitters are a community. When they get together they share patterns, wool, chat and all the good stuff. This is what happens anyway, at the Algarve tricot knitters group, when they get together. It’s not a large group, so there is space for more people to come along. They usually meet in São Bras Alportel. On the 16th March at 3pm, they are meeting at members house near Santa Catarina, not least because she has discovered a whole pile of old Portuguese crochet patterns that were being put into a bin.
