Community Gardens available! Apply Now!
Do you want an opportunity to grow your own food locally around Tavira? Some community gardens are available but you need to act quickly. Angela Rosa, one of the promoters sent me this message. I have translated it from Portuguese into English.
We are letting people know that registrations for the community food gardens in Santa Luzia, Santa Catarina, Cabanas, Santo Estevao and Tavira are now open.
The closing date is soon February 3rd, 2025.
Many people may not be aware of this initiative and that the registration deadline will be closing soon. So, there will be an information session later today, Friday January 31st 2025, 18:00 Lisbon time.
Here is the Zoom link: come and meet, ask questions and let’s help each other:

Topic: Food Garden Meeting for all interested parties:
January 31st 2025, 18:00 Lisbon
Search for food gardens online, register and fill out the registration form, attaching proof of your address (such as a water or electricity bill). It’s worth it!!! You will have access to water and help with soil amendments, tools and training. Today, Friday January 31st, there is a meeting at 6:00pm for interested parties and supporters.
Don’t miss the deadline. Please participate and spread the word. It’s been a long process that has taken years. Now is the time for final registrations to access the vegetable garden/food garden spaces.
