Networking for writers and workshop
Wednesday 21st October 2015,
10am – 12noon, Tavira Library
As part of the 125th anniversary celebration of Álvaro de Campos taking place in Tavira, a free writers workshop, (in English) has been arranged.
Some people may not think of themselves as writers, but the urge to scribble words, tell stories in writing, or even the thought of being a writer is something that may excite. You may already be a professional writer.
This workshop is for all those who want to write or are already writing. The workshop is also an opportunity to network with people who enjoy writing, whether it be as a profession or for pleasure. In November, there will be more writing sessions organised as part of the National Novel Writing month.

In November 2015, my friend and fellow writer, (and hill dweller), Mary Jezzard and I will be taking part in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). We took part in November 2014. It was a fun, focused experience. I managed to write 50,000+ words. We plan to do it again and to write in November 2015. Join us!
There will be pep talks and support. Laughter and tears!
To kickstart us and to find fellow writers, we decided to facilitate a writers workshop during the 125th anniversary celebration of Álvaro de Campos
The workshop will in part, look at Fernando Pessoa’s heteronym, Álvaro de Campos and consider what it means to create a separate identity, a character distinct in every way from you as the writer.
This will be an interactive workshop so, please bring 250 words of your original writing. The aim is to share and learn.
